Another Update!

A blog post? From me? What is this madness?

     Anyways, I have time to write this now, and I haven't said or done anything in quite a while, so it's about time I do some updating. Currently, i'm on vacation. I will be back sometime next week, and when I do, I plan on doing a 500 subscriber special, since I reached that milestone! And since very few people seem to read this, i'll use that opportunity to do the same update as well.

Now, why haven't I uploaded anything? Well, I actually have a good reason for once! Windows Live Movie Maker, the editing software I've been using, (I know, I probably deserve this for using it) has decided to stop allowing me to insert photos into a video. Whenever I do, it decides to freeze the program and bring up a message confirming it's frozen. I can still insert videos, but Nooo! not photos! 

I do hope to get a new editing software very soon, and once I do, films will go back to coming out regularly! (hopefully) I have one film that is completely filmed, and ready for editing, I have another that i'm almost done filming, and one more that filming will begin on once I finish the other one. Before I had the issue, I had a goal, to attempt to get a stop-motion film out every month. I plan on going back to this, but if I can edit the three films I was mentioning earlier, I may upload them quicker.

And, one other thing I want to brush up on, is video game videos. They've slowly become a bigger part of my channel, and I would like to start doing a few more things with them. I'll make it clear right now though, I don't plan on doing a let's play of any sort... in the near future. I don't want to clog up my channel with a bunch of episodes, and my i'm pretty terrible at doing commentary by myself. I want the TheCityCentral channel to be a lego animation-focused channel, and I do my best not to fall into the let's play hole that many people have. The kind of things I have in mind are more machinima videos, or one-off things. If I ever get around to playing more SC4, more UDI videos will be out, and I'd like to do more videos in minecraft, such as cinematic...things, and machinimas. Maybe even Kerbal Space Program and SimCity videos are possible. And I said that let's plays wouldn't be coming "in the near future" for a reason. I have some ideas for stuff, and I may do something with friends at some point.

So, that's the updates and news! Stay tuned for what is to come! I'm not dead!

Some videos might go missing

   In the near future, I may be deleting a few of my videos. Most of them are not so important videos, but I just wanted to state it just to warn everyone. Why am I deleting these? The videos that I'm planning on deleting all have "matched third party content" labels on them. This wouldn't be a big deal normally, but I'm considering applying for a partnership soon, and if I do, I don't want those showing up.

So what is getting deleted?
Not-so Important Videos:

100 Subscriber Special.
I'm not sure why this one is under fire, as I used Kevin MacLeod music, which should be perfectly fine. It might be one of those scamy sites that tries to claim videos, but I'm not going to bother fighting it. It has less than 150 views, so I dough anyone will miss it.

SimCity 4: St. Edmund's.
I used SimCity 3000 music in this video, So I will most likely remove this one as well.

Minecraft Map Tour.
Once again, I used SimCity 3000 music.

Minecraft: Server Town Tour (Parts 1 and 2)
SimCity 4 music this time. I'd hate to have to remove these, actually, because they have, together, about 1,300 views, and it's the only footage I have left from that fun little town.

Lego City: Fight Scene.
I've already removed this video, actually. It was blocked in about all civilized countries in the world, so there was no point in keeping it up. I will re-upload it at some point though, with different music obviously.

Lego City: Traffic Timelapse.
I would also like to keep this video up as well, it's one of my favorite videos that I've made. I used SimCity 3000 music (again), because I though it and the video fit together really well. I heard that if you accept the claim on the video, they allow you to pass on it, so I've done that, but I don't know if that really works or not. If I do have to take the video down, I will upload it again with different music.

Current Projects

Hi again everyone! This post is to talk about some of the projects i'm currently working on for my main channel, TheCityCentral.

If you want to know what films i'm working on, and how they're going, you can look at the "about me" section of my YouTube channel, where I list what i'm working on and how much progress I've made. I removed this when the new channel layouts were added, but I've decided to add them back in.

Lego City: Time Travel: This is the main film I've been working on since I finished Lego Slenderman. It has been 100% filmed, in fact I finished it a while ago, but I'm still waiting for voices from a friend. I've also done a little bit of editing, so once I get the voices, the film should be out relativity quickly. I think this story has a interesting plot, at least more interesting then some of my other films, and it also follows the story line of another film I made.

The "Christmas Video": While I've been editing Lego City: Time Travel, I started filming this project. It actually has little to do with Christmas, but I think the idea / concept behind it will be cool. I don't want to give out any spoilers about it yet though. :)

Updates

Hello Again!

Currently I am in the middle of filming a new movie, that hopefully will be edited and done within the next few weeks. I am also a bit under the weather right now, and not in the mood for doing much, so work on the film is going a bit slower.

Also, I should be getting a new lego set in the mail soon. It was my birthday a few days ago, so this is a late gift. Once this gets here, I might make a film with it.

I'm Back! And soon to come...

If you watched my recent update video, you would know that I was a a vacation. I'm now back from that, (rejoice!) so I can now get back to making films. The main reason that I made this post though, is to talk about some of the upcoming films/things/stuff I will be doing. 1. Game Channel To get all video game videos of my main channel, I will be setting up a video game channel, where all let's plays, machinima's, and other random stuff will go, that isn't Lego animation. 2. Clued Plays Games To further expand on "Clued", the funny and dumb character in some of my Lego Animations, I will start a series in which he plays video games! (and fails at them...) This of course will be going on the Game Channel, once I get it up, and will be 3-5 minute short edited videos of various games (Simcity, Kerbal Space Program, Epic Inventor, Minecraft, etc.). I will also put a promo for it on my main channel. 3. Inside Lego Mountain and The MRB. On this blog, I will start posting various.... things(?) talking about and explaining Lego Mountain and The Minifigures Republic of Brickland (My country). For example, one post might talk about people that live in Lego Mountain, and another might talk about the History of The MRB. And of course, more animations will be coming. In fact, I just started on one yesterday! :D. ~City.

I Still Live...

I haven't updated this blog in a while.... So long that I haven't seen this new design. Its pretty nice in my opinion, better than the new YouTube at least. Anyways, updating on films and such, I have a new film 100% filmed and ready for editification. If you didn't know, I put a status of the films I'm working on in the info area of my channel. Films are also taking a little longer because lately I have tried to put a bit more effort into the animation, for example, watch "Formula 1 Race 2011", and then go watch "Clued's Dream" to see the improvement. The reason I haven't used this as much is because I now have a Twitter account which I use for most updates. I you wanna check it out, its www.twitter.com/TheCityCentral. I may start using this for larger updates or things I wanna say, because Twitter has a 140 character limit. =S Well, that is it!

Thursday Update

Yay, so I got Police Chase up, and I've got a new lego commercail filmed, and partly edited. Also, me and penguinboyfilms are going to do parodies of each other, so that's another thing I'm working on.
I don't know if I'll have a Christmas Video or not. we'll just see.
